eGift cards are often submitted via email address or phone number. If you accidentally send an eGift card incorrectly or need to resend an eGift card, you can locate the gift card information from Toast Web and resend the gift card link via email.

If a customer didn't receive an eGift card they purchased online or in-store, follow the instructions in this article to resend the eGift card information to their email.
Resend Toast eGift Cards to the Same Email Address
Oftentimes, a recipient might delete or misplace an eGift card. If one of your guests purchased a gift card but hasn't received the email, you can easily resend an email to your guest from Toast Web. Toast recommends you perform the following steps through a standard computer for quicker access instead of using a Toast device.
Note: Guests may have issues receiving gift cards via email or SMS due to spam blocking or carrier issues. Have guests check their spam folder, ensure that Toast's email address for gift cards (no-reply@toasttab.com) is not blocked, and ensure that our gift card phone number +1 (857) 227-9098 is not blocked.
- In Toast Web, navigate to Payments > Transactions & refunds > Find checks & issue refund.
- Search and select the check number to bring up the Order Details report, and scroll down to the Payments list. For help locating a gift card, see the Best Practices section of this article.
- Select the line that shows the Gift Card purchase to open the Card Details page.
- Select the small edit link next to eGift card Info in the middle of the window, but without making any edits, scroll down and select Save. This will auto-send the gift card email to the address already on the card details.
Resend Toast eGift Cards Sent to the Wrong Email Address
If a guest entered the wrong email address for their eGift card, you can resend the eGift card information to an updated email address by following these steps:
- In Toast Web, navigate to Reports > Payments > Failed e-gift card delivery.
- Select the order and enter the correct email address for the eGift card that should be sent.
- When finished, select Update & Resend Email.
If the original email address where the Toast e-Gift Card was sent to is valid, it will not appear under the "Failed e-gift card delivery" section. For such instance, please follow these steps instead:
- In Toast Web, navigate to Payments > Transactions & refunds > Find checks & issue refund.
- Search and select the check number to bring up the Order Details report, and scroll down to the Payments list.

- Select the line that shows the Gift Card purchase to open the Card Details page.
- Select the small edit link next to eGift card Info in the middle of the window, but without making any edits, scroll down and select Save. This will auto-send the gift card email to the address already on the card details.
Resend a Toast eGift Card Via SMS Text Message
If you need to resend an eGift card via SMS text message, follow the steps below:

- In Toast Web, navigate to Reports > Payments > Gift card balances.
- Use the Search field to locate the gift card number.
- Use a receipt or find checks to determine the gift card number.
- In the card details window, select the edit link next to eGift Card Info.
- Enter in a new number in the Recipient Phone Number field, or leave the number the same to re-send.
- Once entered, select Save.
- The eGift card will be re-sent. If the recipient still does not receive the message, the following options can be used:
- The recipient contacts their carrier to determine if there's a block on the 86278 phone number
- Repeat the steps above instead adding an email address to send the eGift card via email.

Best Practices for Locating a Toast Gift Card
Find a Toast Gift Card by Check Number or Credit Card
The best way to find a gift card number is to search for the check number.

In Toast Web, navigate to Payments > Transactions & refunds > Find checks & issue refund.

Enter the check number and select the date on the calendar.

Select Search to pull up the check details.
If you don't know the check number, you can find a gift card number through the associated credit card. Follow step 1 above to get to the Find Check page in Toast Web, and then follow these steps:

Select the Find by Credit Card tab at the top of the page.

Enter the Card Last 4 Digits.

Select Search to pull up the check details.

Find a Toast Gift Card by Date and Amount
You can also find the gift card if the guest knows the date and the amount on the card.

In Toast Web, navigate to Reports > Payments > Gift card transactions.

Use the drop-down menus at the top of the report to adjust the date range.

Select the Amount ($) column to sort gift card sales by lowest to highest amount, or select it twice to sort from highest to lowest.

Select a specific transaction to open the Order Details and retrieve the gift card information.
