Toast Delivery Services® (TDS) allows you to save money compared to third-party delivery apps by paying a flat delivery fee starting at $6.99 per delivery for orders placed on your Toast Online Ordering channels.
- Control your delivery expenses by choosing how much of the delivery fee you pass onto your guests.
- You retain your guest data to deepen your relationships using other Toast modules such as email marketing, loyalty, and gift cards.
You can turn TDS on or off at any time using the on/off toggle on the Toast Web Takeout & delivery page - there are absolutely no commitments!
On the other hand, DoorDash and Uber Eats Marketplaces are directly integrated with Toast; these orders come in through the DoorDash and Uber Eats apps.

Toast Delivery Services® Billing and Fees
With Toast Delivery Services® automated billing, Toast withholds the flat fee and driver tip on each order from your credit card payouts. We’ll send you a monthly email with a billing summary—no action is required on your part!
Be sure to deduct Toast Delivery Services tips assigned to the “TDS Driver” employee from your credit card tips before paying out your own staff.” Toast Delivery Services® tips can be viewed by filtering your Sales Summary or Labor Summary report by “TDS Driver”.
Toast Delivery Services® Uber Direct Fees
You are charged one flat fee per delivery of $6.99 for orders less than 6 miles and $8.74 for orders between 6 and 8 miles, plus applicable Regulatory Fees for orders in California, New York City, and Seattle, WA. The default radius is 10 miles. You must contact Toast to request a radius reduction to 6 miles.

Toast Delivery Services® Fees for DoorDash Drive
You are charged one flat fee per delivery of $7.49 for orders within 5 miles and an incremental $0.50 per additional mile up to 10 miles, plus applicable Regulatory Fees for orders in California, New York City, and Seattle, WA. The default radius for new Merchants is 10 miles. You must contact Toast to request a radius reduction to 5 miles.

Toast Delivery Services® Order Tracking
Since Toast Delivery Services is seamlessly integrated with the Toast POS, you can use the “Toast Delivery Services” dining option to track delivery statuses on the Orders Hub or place phone orders on the POS. When guests place orders on your Online Ordering page, they receive end-to-end order tracking on their order confirmation page as well as order update SMS sent to their phone number on file.

Note: If a guest contact Toast Guest Support, the Toast team will engage directly with Uber Direct or DoorDash Drive, secure the refund on your behalf, and pass it to the guest efficiently — all while keeping you notified. Toast Delivery Services® Additional Details
Here are other important details on Toast Delivery Services®:
- Delivery Radius: The default Toast Delivery Services delivery radius is set by the delivery provider that you select. Uber Direct offers a delivery radius of 10 miles (except for NYC) and DoorDash Drive offers a delivery radius of 10 miles (except for NYC). The delivery radius cannot be expanded.
- Driver Tip: Uber Direct requires a 20% tip to be pre-selected when a guest is checking out. This can, however, be altered by the guest. 100% of the tip goes to the driver.
- Delivery Service Charge: Unless you already have an existing delivery service charge set up, an automatic delivery service charge of $3.99 will be added on to your delivery orders to subsidize the Uber Direct or DoorDash delivery fee. You can increase or decrease this service charge on the Service Charges page in Toast Web.
- Delivery Fulfillment Method: It's important to note you can only choose one delivery option: Toast Delivery Services® or delivery with your own delivery drivers. If you are using your own delivery drivers for your restaurant, you will not be able to use the Toast Delivery Services® feature at the same time.
