Cash adjustments can appear as a line item on the Cash Activity Summary table within the Sales Summary report. Cash adjustments include:
- Cash in
- Cash out
- Pay out
- Cash overage
- Cash shortage
The following cash entry times are not accounted for within the Cash adjustments figure, but are still a part of the Cash Activity Summary table:
- Collect cash: These cash entries are accounted as part of Total cash payments
- Pay tips: These cash entries are accounted as their own Tipouts line
Cash drop entries have a net zero effect on the cash balance, and are therefore not accounted for in the Cash Activity Summary.
Selecting the caret (arrow) at the top of the Cash Activity Summary card on the Sales Summary report will bring you to the Cash Activity Audit report, where you can see a breakdown of all cash actions performed that day. Keep in mind that not everything that appears on this report will contribute to your Cash adjustments value.
